Well I will start with last Monday! We had a zone activity last week, which was a lot of fun, we had a day of sports, and some of us Americans actually got a little sunburnt. Nevertheless, it was a good bonding activity! We returned, showered got ready, and were quickly on our way to teach Silveiro and his family! We were able to teach their family the Word of Wisdom. It is a bit harder for Irmão Silveiro because he LOVES coffee, and it is hard for him to go without it. But Elder Soares and I bought Cevada (A mixture and taste similar to coffee, but w/o caffine) It was a great lesson, and they all understood. And Silveiro committed to live the Word of Wisdom. We are going to have to help him through this, and we are going to make a calender and a goal with him! We are going to visit them again tonight, and follow up with them. They all are amazing, and their faith is very strong.
On Tuesday, we had interviews with President, which was awesome. He truly is called of God. We also had a lot of success on Tuesday and found a new investigtor! Her name is Ericka. Her mom is a less active member. So while we are working to convert Ericka, we are also working to reactivate her mother.
Wednesday and Thursday were a lot of work too. We looked and taught a lot of Less active members this week, and have been working really hard with the less actives lately.
On Friday we had a family night with a few families in the ward, and some less active and investigators. It was awesome! Our ward mission leader is amazing. He is so involved with the work, and is always looking to help us missionaries. It is a huge blessing, and we are very greatful for him.
Sunday was great as 4 of our investigators were able to make it to church. It is always such an amazing feeling to see them walk in the doors, with a huge smile on their face. I also thought this week a lot about church every Sunday. It is such a blessing that we can have the sacrament every week, renew our covenants we made at baptism, and think about the Lord. As this week was THanksgiving in the United States, I tried to focus a lot on my gratitude for the Savior and His atonement. My gratitude skyrocketed this week, and I am so grateful for our Savior Jesus Christ. His atonement is powerful, and we can all rely on it. The Lord will help us in our lives if we reach out to him first! The Christmas season is always an awesome time to think about Christ!
