68. Two weeks until Christmas!

Gooood morning/afternoon/evening everyone!!

Just two more weeks until Christmas, and everyone here is way stoked!

My package got here last week luckily.. Thanks mom! Last year my Christmas package arrived in March haha!

I don´t know if any of you guys remember Elder Ferreira, the Elder I used to live with from São Paulo, but last week he came and visited us here in the mission office. It was fun to see him and catch up with him! He is planned on studying at BYU.

Tonight we are going to sing at the temple which I am really excited for. The spirit at the temple is always so strong, and music invites the spirit very fast, so I am way excited.

Last night we had to sing at the ward party. We only had like 20 minutes to plan it, so it was okay. Let´s just say it wouln´t have made Vicki Belnap very proud haha, but it is the effor that counts right?

Lanny received some bad news this week that his daughter is going to have surgery. She has been in a wheel chair for a while now, and she is going to have to have a surgery on her back. We are all praying and fasting that it will go all right.

Melissa has been great. We are going to change her date to the 23 of december. She is excited, and loves the church.

This week is the Christmas concert, so it should be awesome! I like the scripture in Doctrine and Covenants that talks about music. The Lord was talking to Emma Smith, and said,

For my soul delighteth in the song of the heart; yea, the song of the righteous is a prayer unto me, and it shall be answered with a blessing upon their heads. -  D&C 25:12

I love the spirit that music brings, and especially at this time of the year that we can remember Jesus Christ. Love you all!!

Elder Nydegger

Elder Arscott and Elder Reid
Fabio Ferreira Bombardelli came to visit us after 8 months!

Thanksgiving dinner with President's family!

96. I'll Never Be the Same

Hey everyone!  The past few months/weeks, I have received lots of questions like, "Joe, what did you get out of your mission?"...
