What a fast, and busy week we had! We had tons of stuff to do in the office, so we weren´t able to preselyte that much like we normally can.
But we actually did receive a referral! The members help us out so much with the misisonary work. The members truly do make a difference in the work!
But anyways, this referral the members gave to us is a family. The dad´s name is Lanny, and the mom´s name is Rubia. They arenpt married yet, but they want their son to be baptised. His name is Guilherme. We have been teaching him, and marked his baptismal date for this next Saturday. I´ll be sure to take a picture with them this next week.
Willen has been pretty excited lately! He has been trying a while to find courage to talk to the Bishop about some changes he needs to make in his life, and he has scheduled it with him. We were so happy to hear about this. On Sunday, we are going to fast with him. We are hoping he will be able to come to church this week.
Unfortunately Paulo and Diva have been having problems lately, and actually are going to separate. It turns out they have been fighting for quite a long time, and have actually been drinking a lot. It was super sad to hear, but will continue to work with them. They both said however, they want to continue going to church.
Funny story of the week... We were waiting at this bus stop, when we saw this homeless man come running down the street with out a shirt. He was pretty drunk also. He saw us, and hid himself, and then quickly put a shirt on, and then kept on going. Here in the city, at night there are quite a few people like this haha!
Well this next week is the last week of the transfer already, so that´s crazy. It will be a busy week doing stuff for the misisonaries arriving and also going home, but I am excited!
We have still been using the gym in the morning for our excercises which has been nice. President is thinking about moving the assistants into our house also, but we will see what happens.
This week was 9/11, and it made me think of everything that has been happening. Other terrorist attacks, natural disasters, etc. But it also made me think of the scripture in Ether that talks about hope. In Ether 12:4 it talks about our hope. We surely can hope for a better world even with everything happening. Our faith can be our anchor in these days when Satan is doing everything within his power to lead us astray.
Love you all so much, have an awesome week!
