41. FRIO!

What an amazing week again, filled with tons of blessings! To start of, this week was freezing! Didn´t think it could get this cold in Brazil when I opened up my call. Soo I hope you all are enjoying your summer!  

Well even with the cold weather, we have seen the Lord blessing our service. 

Unfortunately, Rodrigo's mother told us that we couldn´t return to visit him any more. His mother is a strong Catholic. Although we were sad, we kept our heads up, and kept working. 

We have started teaching a new couple here. Just like Lucas and Bianca. Their names are Marcos and Daniele. Daniele was baptized a while back, and has been inactive for quite some time. Marcos has investigated the church for a while, and has desired to be baptized. They still aren´t married, but we are working with them. On Wednesday we gave a lesson about the gospel. The spirit was strong, and we felt prompted to invite them to mark a marriage and baptismal date. We were able to mark it for the 17th of July. We are so happy for them, and the decisions they are making in their lives in this moment. 

We are also teaching another couple. They are already married, but neither are members. Their names are Heitor and Celia. They are both amazing. They have a difficulty of understanding the importance of church, and still haven´t committed to come to church. We are praying, studying and pondering to know how we can help them with this.

We also found a family on Friday knocking some doors. Their names are Marinaldo, Alice, and Ana. They are a religious family, but it has been a while since they have been really active in a church. Marinaldo (the father) has been investigating and visiting lots of churches. We will return tonight to teach them.

Other than that, not much has been different this week. Lots of doors knocked, and lots of lessons taught as we are trying to improve our teaching pool. Something I have thought a lot about this week is faith. One of my favorite chapters in the Book of Mormon is Alma 32. Faith has a lot of power, and when we exercise our faith, our faith grows. Faith doesn´t mean that we have to have a perfect knowledge, but simply believe. Faith is something I am very grateful for. It is such an amazing feeling when you see someone start to put their faith in God by starting to live his Gospel. I am so grateful to be able to witness that so frequently here on my mission.  Love you all so much! Thanks for all the prayers and support!
